About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our forward-thinking female respiratory ward. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical support to our patients, working closely with our Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of care planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses.
  • Carry out care and other duties under indirect supervision.
  • Supervise junior healthcare assistants, contributing to their training and development.
  • Undertake specific extended skills, including blood pressure monitoring, oxygen saturation levels, and glucose monitoring.
  • Participate in patient assessment, providing holistic patient care and escalating concerns to other clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Experience of providing care in a healthcare or social setting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to complete accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of healthcare work and policies and procedures.
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
