Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at Practice Plus Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance misuse.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans, prioritizing patient care and recovery.
  • Deliver a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions, in both group and one-on-one settings.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, liaising with prescribers as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, families, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a passion for developing clinical skills in a dynamic environment.
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake this training.
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy.
  • Experience working with opiate-dependent patients and sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
