Job Title: Instructor

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Instructor to join our team at Chesham House School, a specialist provision for young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, ensuring the department and school are successful in achieving their aims. You will be an individual who shares our values and is committed to helping young people achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of our students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that are engaging and challenging.
  • Assess and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies.
Person Specification:
  • Understanding of teaching, learning and qualifications.
  • Experience of working in non-mainstream settings with challenging learners.
  • Ability to empathise and support the development of learning.
  • Robust understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team.
  • Good general level of education (Teaching qualification, ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English or equivalent).
  • Excellent delivery and communication skills.
