The Role:

We are seeking a Business Lecturer to teach a broad range of modules, tutorials, and seminars, as well as work with organizations to develop our activities and undertake administrative duties as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a proven academic experience in the relevant field and be able to contribute to the production of module/unit specific Scheme of Work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the production of module/unit specific Scheme of Work.
  • Develop module materials for each of the modules being undertaken.
  • Provide, deliver, or facilitate subject-specific sessions in line with the LOs and syllabuses of respective modules.
  • Deploy assessments appropriately, as set out by the assessment team.
  • Set out measures to understand the learning needs of students in their modules.
  • Enter attendance registers for each session as prescribed by the policies of VCAD and work with the module leader to ratify the accuracy of the information being entered for students on digital registers.
  • Support students with timely formative feedback to the extent prescribed by each of the programme specifications.
  • Mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline published by the assessment team.
  • Ensure that all expectations of the programme specifications of the respective awarding bodies and universities under which modules are being taught.
  • Produce appropriate module or unit reports.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Contribute to the Business School's Research Department at the Holborn campus.

Essential Requirements:

  • Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
  • Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc.
  • Previous lecturing experience in HEI.
  • Experience in using Blackboard / VLEs and other learning platforms.
  • Industrial experiences.

Desirable Requirements:

  • 3 years' experience working in the creative industry of your subject.
