Position Summary

The Civil Engineering Project Coordinator will oversee a diverse range of civil engineering initiatives from start to finish, ensuring that projects are executed safely, punctually, within financial constraints, and to the specified quality benchmarks. This position requires collaboration with team members, fostering robust relationships with clients, and acting as the main liaison for various stakeholders. The role is hybrid, involving approximately three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage the entire project lifecycle, handling multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely, high-quality, and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a primary contact for community members, site supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the project duration.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve challenges early in the project to implement effective solutions.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Oversee the creation of RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and other essential project documents, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including necessary permits and licenses.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support site managers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and progress, while coordinating with management and site logistics.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and control projected costs, develop and manage resource schedules, site logs, and variations, and handle payment applications.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Evaluate and engage subcontractors, providing guidance on methods, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Client Relations: Communicate with clients and management, conduct site and client visits, confirm project scope, and issue early warning notifications.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest enhancements in methods and procedures to optimize the contracting process.

This position demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing intricate civil engineering projects while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
