Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Terry Parris Associates Ltd. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the company's purchasing function, including request for quotations, purchase order generation, stock control, and materials workflow.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and design teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to meet production and project planning needs.
  • Manage and lead supplier relations, including expanding the supplier base to support the company's growth.
  • Understand and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Support the Sales and Finance teams with cost requirements.
  • Work closely with Design Engineers and Production Managers to coordinate and plan requirements according to project deadlines.
  • Develop a coordinated approach to buying, scheduling, and cost management.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical procurement environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
