About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Mathematics to join our team at Buckinghamshire Council. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for leading the Mathematics Department to achieve high academic expectations and incorporating relevant developments in pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Mathematics Department to achieve high academic expectations
  • Develop and implement innovative and exciting ways of learning that suit the needs of our students
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address them
  • Collaborate with other senior middle leaders to discuss curriculum matters across the school
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
Requirements
  • Good honours degree in a relevant subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Strong classroom teaching experience, with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating students
  • Excellent subject knowledge and ability to teach A Level
  • Familiarity with current and future subject developments
  • Ability to adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students
  • Strong commitment to co-curricular and cross-curricular activities
