About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the Celtic Manor Resort. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Executive Head Chef in achieving our culinary goals and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Head Chef in managing the kitchen brigade and ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are running smoothly.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Work closely with the Stewarding team to ensure that the kitchen is clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist with the ordering and receiving of stock, ensuring that all items are correctly labelled and stored.
- Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
- Participate in menu planning and development, ensuring that our dishes are innovative and appealing to our guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures.
