About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our inpatient psychology team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to adults with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide individual and group-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with ward managers and nursing staff to develop trauma-informed and recovery-focused care pathways.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Participate in regular supervision and peer review to ensure high-quality practice and ongoing professional development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Postgraduate doctoral-level training in clinical psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practising Psychologist.
  • Experience of working with adults with mental health needs, including those with complex and severe presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
