Job Title: E&I Installation Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced E&I Installation Supervisor to join our team at Work Lyf Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of electrical and instrumentation systems for our clients in the beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with site managers to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with electrical project engineers to produce electrical installation specifications.
  • Manage site sub-contract labour, reviewing RAMS and coordinating site work permits, including LOTO.
  • Review technical drawings and distribute information to electrical installation supervisors.
  • Manage the storage and safe distribution of installation materials and instrumentation.
  • Liaise with CAD engineers to document proposed routing of cable containment for client approval.
  • Work with electrical project engineers to produce installation planning documents and monitor installation progress.
  • Identify and correctly install instrumentation from design packages, advising mechanical installation teams on best practices.
Preferred Experience:
  • Good understanding of UK legislation, including BS7671.
  • Experience with instrumentation applications, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, weight, and analytical systems.
  • Experience managing sub-contract labour for large projects.
  • Good understanding of electrical and P&I drawings.
  • Good understanding of the beverage industry, including relevant regulations and certifications.
  • Experience with hazardous area applications, zoning, calculations, and installation of wiring systems.
  • Good understanding of control bus systems, AS-I, Profibus, and industrial Ethernet networks.
Essential Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in hygienic process installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Ability to attend client meetings and record minutes.
  • Installation of process instrumentation.
  • Generation of project documentation, including installation schedules and I/O commissioning documents.
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft Office literacy.
  • Control panel testing.
  • Hazardous area installation (Zone 22).
Requirements:
  • HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and resourceful individual.
  • Good communication skills.
Location:

Mainly UK, with occasional travel abroad.

Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays.
