Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Physical Health Team as a Band 6 Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to individuals with severe mental illness, focusing on improving their physical health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of physical health assessments for individuals with severe mental illness.
- Work collaboratively with primary care professionals, community teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
- Develop and implement care plans that address the physical health needs of service users, promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing health inequalities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to physical health care, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Provide education and training to junior staff and students on physical health care, promoting best practice and evidence-based interventions.

Requirements- Registered Nurse - Mental Health/Learning Disability/General with current registration with the NMC.
- ENB 998/Preceptorship and or Practice Supervisor and Assessor Training.
- At least 3 years' experience post-registration at Band 5 and community nursing experience.
