Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Migration Support Engineer to join our team at VIQU Limited. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless transition for our clients during a significant domain migration.

About the Role: As a Migration Support Engineer, you will work closely with our clients in the financial industry, assisting them in setting up their laptops in the new domain. You will be responsible for ensuring all user settings, applications, and data are correctly migrated, and providing ongoing technical support after users have logged into the new domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Windows 10/11 Administration and Support: Provide expert-level support for Windows 10/11 operating systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to connectivity, application access, and user profiles.
  • Office 365 Administration and Support: Offer technical support for Office 365 services, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Active Directory Experience: Utilize your expertise in Active Directory to ensure a smooth transition for users, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • User Setup and Support: Work closely with users to configure their laptops in the new domain, ensuring all user settings, applications, and data are correctly migrated.
  • Continuous Support: Provide ongoing technical support after users have logged into the new domain, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to connectivity, application access, or user profiles.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintain detailed records of user interactions and issues resolved, create and update user guides and documentation to assist in the transition process, and conduct training sessions for users to familiarize them with the new domain environment.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working in a merger environment and supporting tenant-tenant/domain migration in previous contract engagements. You will also need to be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Central Liverpool, with occasional ad hoc travel to various sites around the UK.
