Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will work with young people with a diagnosed moderate to severe Learning Disability, providing assessment and treatment for Autism and ADHD. The team provides mental health assessments of young people with a neurodevelopmental disorder and also psychological therapies for co-morbid mental health disorders.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialist evidence-based assessment and therapy to children and adolescents with mental health difficulties.
- Offer advice and consultation on young people's psychological care to both professional colleagues and staff from other agencies.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of both the trust's and CAMHS' policies and procedures.
- Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
- Doctoral level training in clinical, educational or counselling psychology with HCPC registration or qualification in a relevant field of mental health, health, social welfare, or education and qualified and accredited with the BABCP in an approved course in CBT.
- Accredited by the relevant UK governing body in supervision of psychological therapists and trainees employing therapy in own area of expertise.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment of children, young people and families across a range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care or in-patient settings.
- Experience of undertaking risk assessments and managing risk.
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
- Experience of working with children and young people who have learning disability, and/or neurodevelopmental difficulties and their families.
- Experience of working in a CAMHS or NHS setting.
