Position: Supply Chain Circularity & Materials Manager

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the creation and execution of a supply chain circularity initiative, reinforcing our commitments under Primark Cares, enhancing waste management practices, and promoting textile-to-textile recycling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to advance sustainable initiatives throughout our global supply chain. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  1. Strategic Development & Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and execute a circularity strategy targeting post-industrial waste.
  2. Waste Management Initiatives: Design and implement a waste management program that aligns with regulatory standards.
  3. Textile Recycling Strategy: Establish and carry out a strategy for textile-to-textile recycling.
  4. Integration and Target Achievement: Incorporate new strategies into sourcing and sustainability programs with defined measurable targets.
  5. Innovation & Capacity Enhancement: Investigate technical solutions and bolster capabilities for global application.
  6. Materials Knowledge: Guide the advancement of Primark's Microfiber strategy and formulate relevant materials policies.
Key Collaborations:
  • Engage with government affairs on legislative matters
  • Identify synergies with broader sustainability initiatives
  • Collaborate across essential teams such as Primark Cares, sourcing, and compliance
  • Interact with industry associations and partners
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Materials
  • Technical proficiency in textiles, manufacturing, and chemistry
  • Preferred professional certification
  • Demonstrated experience in developing sustainability programs
  • Ability to drive innovation and change within large organizations
