SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Ribbons & Reeves, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our client's vibrant primary school in Hillingdon. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management plans
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND in both the classroom and small group settings
  • Adapt and create materials to meet the specific learning needs of each student
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible support for each child
  • Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to the school's SENDCo
Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEND
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience working with children with SEND is an advantage but not essential
