About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employment Advisor to join our team at Maximus. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of customers, providing coaching and guidance to help them prepare for interviews and job searching.
- Conduct in-depth assessments to understand customers' circumstances, preferences, and barriers to progression.
- Develop personalized action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with local specialist services to address specific issues, such as substance misuse or debt advice.
- Identify recruitment needs of employers and undertake tailored pre-screens and group assessments.
- Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure excellent customer service.
- Comply with company policies, including those for personal data security, safeguarding, and health & safety.
Requirements
- Customer-focused with a strong commitment to customer care.
- Strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to work and colleagues.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Fully IT literate in using Microsoft Office programmes and modern digital technologies.
- Strong communicator with creative problem-solving skills.
- Able to plan and organize workload to meet required targets and deadlines.
