As a Systems Engineering Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the engineering division delivers expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from bidding to development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with both project and regulatory standards while enhancing the efficiency of the systems design function.
  • Continuously advancing systems engineering tools, methodologies, and capabilities to support ongoing and future initiatives.
  • Formulating technical solutions for intricate engineering challenges, adhering to Systems Engineering protocols to meet client specifications.
  • Creating Systems Engineering documentation as necessary throughout the product development process to achieve favorable project results.
  • Overseeing the design, development, and delivery of Systems Engineering documentation for multiple projects, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborating closely with system, hardware, and software teams to guarantee consistency, modular design, and technical excellence.
  • Planning, coordinating, and presenting at both internal and external design evaluations for senior management and clients to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Actively participating in or leading specific project components to achieve an optimal balance between requirements, timelines, and costs.
  • Managing client relationships and external vendors to ensure adherence to established processes and the attainment of project goals.
  • Generating and assessing technical proposals, providing precise estimates for associated efforts, costs, and risks, leading to contract acquisitions.
  • Reviewing and endorsing technical documents, chairing technical evaluations for significant deliverables.
  • Ensuring the security of information as outlined in the Security manual to comply with governmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated and effective application of the Systems Engineering discipline in complex engineering projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Experience in developing high-quality requirements and establishing fully compliant systems designs.
  • Proficient in producing high-quality technical documentation and conducting formal technical reviews of such materials.
  • Familiarity with JAMA and hands-on experience in hardware, software, or firmware development, particularly in embedded systems.
  • Expertise in Requirements Definition & Management.
  • A degree in an engineering, mathematical, or science-related field or equivalent experience.
