Credit Controller

Clarkson Evans, the leading electrical and solar installer in the new build housing sector, is seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their team. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's cash flow and ensuring timely payments from clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the credit control function, including billing, cash collection, and query resolution.
- Collaborate with the Commercial and Production teams to resolve issues that prevent invoices from being raised or result in unpaid invoices.
- Defend claims for contra charges from builders and ensure all contra charges are logged and resolved.
- Request credit notes as required and agreed with the Commercial Manager or Heads of Commercial.
- Manage customer retention accounts, ensuring these are kept to a minimum by recommending retention caps to the Commercial Managers.
- Prepare cumulative spreadsheets and ensure these are provided to Accounts Receivable to be sent with the invoices.
- Ensure Final Accounts are sent in a timely manner and update the Finished Sites Log accordingly.
- Prepare aged debt reports to be reviewed with the wider Commercial, Operational, and Finance teams.
- Maintain the Builder Requirements list and ensure this is up to date, so that the Accounts Receivable team are aware of the current requirements.
- Investigate reconciliation issues across customer accounts and support the Credit Assistant with Accounts Receivable duties when required.
- Experience in a credit control role.
- Good IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel.
