Culina Group is seeking a dedicated Logistics Route Optimization Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency within our team.
Salary: £35,000 per annum.
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
In the role of Logistics Route Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for refining the planning of transportation routes, utilizing our own fleet, internal subcontractors, and external partners. This includes strategizing for multiple sites, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the timely and effective development of vehicle routes. Adjust routes to capitalize on efficiencies that may arise post-planning. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and suppliers to identify reload opportunities back to target areas. Maintain comprehensive reports for Operations and Finance teams to guarantee accurate payments and revenue tracking. Oversee the Transport Management System (TMS) to ensure all loads are accurately documented for seamless transport execution. Research optimal external routes while adhering to marketable rates. Foster relationships with hauliers for ongoing support throughout the year, especially during peak periods.Required Qualifications:
CPC certification, with National & International qualifications preferred. Familiarity with Transport Planning in both radial and direct delivery contexts, including depot trunk movements. Strong geographical awareness. Experience with national networks and the ability to maintain a comprehensive view of logistics. A collaborative team player capable of building both internal and external relationships. Proven experience in planning within a cost and KPI-driven operational framework. Capacity to work efficiently and accurately under pressure while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.Additional Information:
