**Job Introduction**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our all-age Substance Use Treatment Service, providing support to individuals living in the community. This role will work closely with our Principal Practitioner Psychologist to provide bespoke support, care packages to individuals who have Dual Diagnosis needs. This role will link closely with Mental Health Services to ensure disadvantaged Service Users are accessing necessary support for their well-being.

**Our Approach**

Inspiring Recovery, Inspiring Futures and Inspiring Families consists of a multidisciplinary team of professionals who provide the resources that enable people to build upon their recovery and achieve their goals. We work collaboratively with community mental and physical health services to ensure people have the best chance of success.

**Our Services**

We offer support and promote wellbeing and recovery from drug and alcohol related issues through our service hubs located in the community. We work with over 2,500 service users, delivering a wide range of treatment methods including brief interventions and structured treatment, access to substitute prescribing and detoxification.

**Role Responsibility**

We aspire to work in true partnership with our service users and encourage everyone to reach their full potential, whilst working to maintain their optimum level of independence in the community. Ultimately our aim is to maintain daily living skills alongside psycho-social interventions necessary to equip people to live more independently in the community with confidence.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and have line management responsibility for a number of key roles linked to Safeguarding, including the named Safeguarding Leads.
  • Support recovery workers with assessments and formulations, as well as completing referrals to the relevant mental health services and advocate for clients' admissions to these services.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to ensure the removal of barriers preventing dual diagnosis clients from accessing mental health services.
  • Hold a small caseload of clients to whom you will be offering low-level interventions and signposting.
  • Attend monthly complex case meetings to review clients' mental health needs with other professionals.

**Requirements**

We are looking for someone who understands the importance of recovery and is passionate about seeing people achieve their best. You will need to have a Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology or RMN or CQSW/DipSW or Occupational Therapist, with an understanding of recovery models/approaches and a good understanding of mental health issues and the way in which they are managed.
