About the Role

Fife Council is committed to safeguarding public funds and ensuring the responsible use of resources. We are seeking a Corporate Fraud Officer to lead our efforts in identifying, investigating, and preventing fraud across all areas of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist management in providing a professional and effective Corporate Fraud service to Fife Council and, if required, the Integration Joint Board.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions to promote a strong anti-fraud culture within the organisation.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support fraud prevention and detection efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and mitigate risks associated with fraud.
  • Provide expert advice on fraud prevention and detection strategies.

Requirements

  • Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist qualification or willingness to study for it.
  • Experience in fraud investigation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer

Fife Council is a progressive employer offering a blended working arrangement. Candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required. A Basic Disclosure through Disclosure Scotland will be required prior to appointment.
