Job Title: Conference and Events Manager - Hospitality Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Conference and Events Manager to join our team at Solent Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring the smooth operation of all conferences, events, and weddings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conference and Events Management: Manage the hotel's conference rooms, ensuring that all events are executed to the highest standard and that our guests receive exceptional service.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of conference and events coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure that all events are successful.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Event Planning: Work closely with clients to plan and execute events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate events.
  • Operations Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the conference and events department, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, and that all events are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4-star hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Education: A degree in hospitality, events management, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as a Certified Event Planner (CEP) or a Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA).
