**Job Title:** Production Engineer

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating production runs, providing support in innovative development and prototype testing, and occasional support work diagnosing faults in customer units and repairing them.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• **Production Management:** Maintaining stock levels of assembled products for sale and component parts.

• **Quality Control:** Coordinating production runs, including quality control.

• **Record-Keeping:** Record-keeping of supplied systems.

• **Customer Support:** Periodic customer support and product repairs.

• **Preparation:** Preparing work for Production Assistant(s) and ensuring they are working efficiently.

• **Research and Development:** Aiding in Research & Development work as required.

• **Development Team Support:** Responding to requests from the development team.

• **Hardware Assembly:** Assembling electronic hardware through hand-soldering and the use of heat gun & bed.

• **Testing:** Testing of hardware modules and final assembled products.

• **Documentation:** Writing or contributing to product/project documentation.

• **Electrical Work:** Some basic electrical work on products, mainly wiring-related.

• **Customer Needs Assessment:** Assessing and understanding customer needs to contribute towards product design.

• **Product Demonstration:** Possible occasional demonstration of products and concepts to customers.

• **Workplace Organization:** Maintaining an organized workspace.

**Essential Requirements/Qualifications:**

• **Laboratory Test Equipment:** Ability to use laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.

• **Soldering:** Ability to solder to a high standard, including small pitch SMT components.

• **Production Builds:** Thorough production builds, good practice as a finisher-completer.

• **Communication:** Effective communication.

• **Organization:** Organized.

• **Teamwork:** Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

**Advantageous Experience:**

• **RF Experience:** Experience with RF.

• **Low Power Circuits:** Experience with low power circuits.

• **Electrical Wiring:** Basic electrical wiring knowledge.

• **Spectrum Analyzer:** Ability to use a spectrum analyser.
