We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Disability Assessor to join our team at PFAS. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assessing the functional ability of individuals applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and examinations via telephone, video call, or face-to-face means to understand the challenges faced by claimants.
- Assess how a claimant's disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability on daily activities in a respectful, non-biased, and reassuring manner.
- Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional.
- An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
- Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.
- Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only) and Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
- Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT).
- Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic and Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- 21 Days AL (increasing to 25 days from January 2025) plus 8 bank holidays.
