Electrical Engineer Job Description

You should be an experienced and skilled electrical engineer with a strong background in electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs. Ideally, you will have experience working in healthcare or large commercial/public buildings, but specific training will be provided.

As an electrical engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and installation work within acute and community NHS properties. This will include working on medium voltage main distribution systems, emergency power generation, lighting, door access, air conditioning, data, nurse call systems, and other low voltage equipment.

The successful candidate will be required to join an on-call team to provide an out-of-hours emergency response after an initial training period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical maintenance and installation work within NHS properties
  • Work on medium voltage main distribution systems, emergency power generation, and other electrical systems
  • Join an on-call team to provide out-of-hours emergency response

Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs
