Hours: Continental Shift (2 days 2 nights 4 off) 7:00am - 7:00pm
The RoleAs an Industrial Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing planned preventative and predictive maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of the factory.
Duties & Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Attend to emergency repairs during unplanned shutdowns to minimize disruption to production.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical failures, report conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing contacts, checking motors, and following instructions.
- Install cables and conduit for new equipment or replacing old ones.
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of electrical preventative engineering principles and a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
Candidates should possess a formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC, or equivalent.
General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
