Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Fusion People Ltd. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process from planning approval to site commencement.
Your primary focus will be on coordinating and approving construction drawings and information to ensure they meet our budget and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with the Land and Planning Manager at critical stages of the planning submission process.
- Identify, appoint, and manage external design teams to meet project briefs and ensure design programs are achieved.
- Coordinate relevant testing and reports to support design completion and planning.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of CSHSP production.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely information exchange.
- Organize, participate in, and record design review meetings.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure designs align with project budgets.
- Coordinate planning submissions and condition discharge.
- Review and manage information flow to ensure technical details are incorporated into designs.
- Research and explore design options to enhance build quality and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Review designs and construction information to ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Manage and coordinate Section Agreements processes.
- Understand duties for client, principal designer, and designers under CDM regulations and building regulations.
- Adhere to Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, procedures, and policies.
- Liaise with construction teams during handover from pre-construction to onsite, ensuring relevant information is distributed.
- Relevant construction or architectural qualification.
- Previous experience in an equivalent or similar role within the construction industry.
- Good knowledge of the design process and construction design stages with a main contractor.
- Technical knowledge and ability to use design and project management software.
