Job Overview

Flying Start is a targeted Early Years programme for families with children under the age of five who live in disadvantaged areas of Wales. The programme aims to mitigate the impact of poverty on early childhood outcomes, including health outcomes.

The successful candidate will provide operational leadership and management to the Denbighshire Flying Start Health Team, ensuring a high-quality service is delivered.

Main Duties

  • Provide professional operational leadership, management, and expertise to the Health Team.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the Flying Start Programme and associated guidance.
  • Understand the health needs of the population eligible to access the Programme across Denbighshire.
  • Experience of excellent partnership working with Local Authority professionals.
  • Understanding of the reporting requirements of the role.
