Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Barber/Hairdressing lecturer to join our Hair & Beauty team at East Sussex College Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering practical and theory lessons, monitoring students' progress, and providing guidance and support to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials, assessments, and evaluations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning practices

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Barbering/Hairdressing at Level 3 and above
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent experience
  • Assessors award or equivalent experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the hairdressing industry and working within industry
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and well-organized with a commitment to further professional development
