We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Westfalia Fruit. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all accounting records.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Financial Management and Analysis**
    • Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts
    • Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
    • Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews
  • **Accounting and Compliance**
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
    • Manage statutory accounts preparation and audits
    • Maintain and reconcile accounting records
    • Manage tax compliance and insurance policies
  • **Team Leadership and Development**
    • Lead and develop the finance team
    • Recruit, train, and motivate finance staff
  • **Strategic Planning**
    • Develop and implement financial strategies
    • Prepare feasibility studies and business cases

**Requirements**

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in finance and accounting, preferably with experience in the fresh produce sector. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Proven track record in financial management and analysis
  • Strong financial accounting knowledge, including IFRS
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial data and reporting
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
