Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team as a Therapeutic Fostering Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a small caseload of foster families and providing therapeutic support to children and young people in their care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a small caseload of foster families and provide regular support and supervision
  • Work closely with therapists, other social workers, foster parents, and educational experts to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people
  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans to meet the needs of each child or young person
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support network for foster families

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work Degree
  • Experience working in fostering or a Looked After Children Team
  • Driving license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
