Supervising Social Worker - Therapeutic IFA

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team at a reputable Independent Fostering Agency in London. As a key member of our therapeutic fostering team, you will be responsible for overseeing a small caseload of foster families and providing guidance and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people in their care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a small caseload of 10-12 foster families located in various locations in London and Hertfordshire.
  • Provide guidance and support to foster families to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people in their care.
  • Work closely with therapists, other social workers, foster parents, and educational experts to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of therapeutic plans and strategies to support children and young people in their care.
  • Collaborate with the out-of-hours team to ensure seamless support and care for children and young people outside of regular working hours.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work Degree and a driving license.
  • Experience in working in fostering or in a Looked After Children Team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with foster families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.

  • A competitive salary up to £39,702 per annum, plus a £3,000 car allowance.
