Job Summary:
Tripod Social Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team. As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of young people in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chair Reviews: Conduct thorough and impartial reviews of care plans for young people, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Monitor Progression: Regularly review and monitor the progression of care plans, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, contribute to the duty system, and engage in the first review system to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Supervision and Support: Attend regular supervision sessions to receive guidance, support, and feedback on your performance.
- Travel and Visits: Travel to various locations to conduct reviews, visits, and meetings with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Audit and Quality Assurance: Participate in audit work and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of practice and compliance.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Possess a degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification, and be registered with Social Work England.
- Experience: Have significant experience in statutory social work functions, including safeguarding and support.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
