About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Medicines Management team at Central London Community Healthcare Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on medicines management and governance to healthcare professionals across the Trust.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medicines management.
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services and medicines optimisation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Trust to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge and apply this to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Certificate qualification or equivalent.
  • Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma qualification or equivalent.
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio demonstrating ongoing learning and professional development.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Independent Prescriber or working towards qualification.
  • Post-qualification experience of clinical pharmacy, medicines information, and prescribing advice.
  • Experience of working in secondary care and in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience of providing a Clinical Pharmacy Service with good medicines management initiatives.
  • Experience of working effectively within multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Experience of undertaking structured medicine reviews.
  • Experience of training and tutoring in a hospital setting.
  • Experience of audit techniques.
  • Experience in supervising a team/service.
Key Skills and Knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of prescribing, pharmacy, and medicines management issues faced in primary and secondary care.
  • Up-to-date clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to provide succinct and objective advice.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments.
