Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Consultant to join our team at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive acute and elective Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service, including the management of skin cancer and the development of a sentinel lymph node biopsy service and Mohs micrographic surgical service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outpatient clinics, elective inpatient and day case surgery in Pinderfields General Hospital, Dewsbury and District Hospital and Pontefract General Infirmary.
  • Urgent and emergency care duties, including out of hours on call working within the provisions of working time regulations and safe working.
  • Participation in teaching, training and audit, educational and clinical supervision of core trainees and specialist registrars.
  • Provision of advice and support to the clinical team and peers in a range of clinical and/or leadership situations.
Requirements
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist List for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Evidence of post CCT experience/qualifications in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • MBBS and BDS or equivalent.
  • Audit or Quality Improvement Projects.
