We are seeking an experienced IPS Employment Specialist to join our team at Sovereign & Bale. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will work closely with clients who have mental health support needs to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients with mental health support needs, providing person-centered advice and guidance to support their employment journey.
- Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, providing training and support to clients to help them secure and maintain employment.
- Build relationships with local employers to explore job opportunities and negotiate adjustments to support clients in the workplace.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams to engage and generate referrals, and create collaborative working partnerships with clinical staff.
- Provide education and support to employers to promote employment as a positive intervention in the recovery journey.
- Conduct regular visits, effective monitoring, and in-work support to clients and employers to help sustain employment.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with people with mental health support needs, or a similar client group within health, social services, or the voluntary sector.
- Proven experience of meeting and exceeding outcomes and targets.
- Experience of managing multiple tasks at any one time.
- Previous experience of working assertively to influence decision makers.
- Experience of supporting people to obtain or keep work.
- Experience of working within mental health services.
