About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS England as a Pharmacy Training Facilitator, supporting the delivery of high-quality education and training to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across the East of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, create, and deliver teaching, learning, and assessment plans to support foundation pharmacist trainees and their educational supervisors.
  • Contribute to the design and development of pharmacy education programs, linking to the multi-professional school with shared common resources.
  • Support business planning processes to provide input into the strategic development of the work of the department.
  • Identify and support pharmacist trainees requiring further support during their foundation training period.
  • Contribute to the availability of high-quality training and support for pharmacist trainees and educational supervisors.
  • Provide professional expertise on a specific portfolio of work.
  • Manage the provision and development of resources, services, and opportunities for pharmacist trainees and their educators from across the healthcare professions.
  • Support equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in pharmacy education.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of education and training systems and structures in healthcare.
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team and reviewing performance of individuals.
  • Experience and understanding of education and/or professional development and professional support.
  • Masters in pharmacy degree (or equivalent).
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Established knowledge of healthcare education management or commissioning, acquired through post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training.
