Regional Maintenance Leader

Join our team as a Regional Maintenance Leader, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing maintenance operations.

Position Overview:

This position entails leading a skilled team responsible for the upkeep and repair of locomotives and associated machinery. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety and excellence, ensuring that maintenance tasks are executed to the highest standards and within scheduled timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and mentor a team of tradespeople, including Electricians, Fitters, and Boilermakers, to meet organizational objectives.
  • Organize and oversee training initiatives for maintenance staff and enhance site operational activities.
  • Monitor performance metrics, including roster management and safety compliance, against established benchmarks.
  • Propose and implement operational improvements aimed at boosting productivity, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant industrial regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Manage minor projects and assist in the planning and scheduling of personnel to fulfill maintenance commitments.
  • Provide support to the re-convey and derailment teams as necessary.

Candidate Profile:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships with team members, management, and external partners.
  • Strong operational knowledge of maintenance systems, particularly SAP.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Trade qualifications or relevant experience in a related field.
  • Preferred: Certificate IV or Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent qualifications.
