This exciting role has emerged as we aim to enhance our engineering problem-solving capabilities and continuous improvement initiatives. The selected candidate will assist the site engineering team in a dynamic flagship facility that has recently seen substantial investment, with further significant capital projects planned for the future. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, this position will aid in the daily management of engineering operations and collaborate closely with the Reliability & Control Systems Engineer and the Reliability & CI Projects Engineer. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with statutory, mandatory, and legal standards, providing safe and effective asset care for equipment, services, utilities, and facilities, and delivering reliable engineering support to operational and site teams around the clock.

Key Responsibilities:

We seek a proactive and detail-oriented individual passionate about maximizing machinery and equipment efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment where maintaining product quality and adhering to food safety regulations are critical. Responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing machinery and equipment performance to prevent production delays and uphold product quality.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Developing and managing preventative maintenance programs to mitigate equipment failure risks and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Providing continuous engineering support to operations and site teams 24/7.
  • Coordinating and overseeing repairs to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Monitoring spare parts and supplies to guarantee availability when needed.
  • Training maintenance personnel on procedures and safety protocols to foster a safe working environment and achieve first-time fixes.
  • Managing the maintenance budget to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising safety and quality.

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in a similar managerial role, alongside excellent IT and communication skills, both verbal and written. They should be adept at managing stakeholder expectations and have a keen eye for detail.
