About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-Executive Director to join our Board at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our unitary Board, you will work closely with other Non-Executive Directors, the Chair, and Executive Directors to drive the success of our Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the effective leadership of the Trust, helping us navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Work alongside other Non-Executive Directors to hold the Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board.
  • Bring diverse perspectives and expertise to the Board, particularly in areas where we need to improve our representation.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of achievement in complex environments, preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting. You should have a good understanding of the legal duties of a Non-Executive Director and be able to demonstrate your skills in chairing a committee.
