Job Overview

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer at BYD Europe, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our Energy Storage Systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high operational standards and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct annual preventive maintenance checks and capacity tests on Energy Storage Systems.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently during all operations.
  • Provide remote diagnostics and telephone support to clients, addressing their technical queries.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including timesheets and vehicle inspections.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues at customer locations effectively.
  • Carry out start-up and commissioning services for new installations.
  • Collaborate with the internal engineering team on product development initiatives.
  • Offer insights and recommendations based on field experiences to enhance product offerings.
  • Deliver training sessions for customers, both at BYD facilities and on-site as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Registered Electrician Certificate or an equivalent qualification in electrical or electro-mechanical fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance roles.
  • A valid full UK driving license with a clean record.
  • Proficient in basic IT applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and software for troubleshooting.
  • Certification for on-site safety practices.
