Mental Health Act Administrator at Schoen Clinic
Schoen Clinic is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Act Administrator to play a vital role in the smooth operation of our mental health services. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and concise information to patients and relevant parties throughout the registration and admission process, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
- Act as a liaison between clinicians, patients, families, and external agencies, handling inquiries and requests with professionalism and empathy.
- Accurately coordinate and process all section papers and documentation, adhering to strict Mental Health Act (MHA) guidelines and procedures.
- Organize and manage Mental Health Tribunal hearings and Hospital Managers Reviews, ensuring timely notification of all parties involved and meticulous handling of associated documentation.
- Arrange meetings and ensure the prompt production and distribution of reports and other essential documents.
- Process referrals efficiently through the NHS portal, maintaining accurate records and communication with referring parties.
- Provide support for general administrative tasks as assigned by the PA/Lead Administrator.
Skills Required:
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant IT systems.
- Self-motivation, strong organizational abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably within the healthcare sector.
