We invite you to #JOINTHEREBELLION

For over three decades, we have been crafting exceptional video games across our various studios. Our operations span multiple locations in the UK, and we embrace a hybrid work model for this role, allowing flexibility in both work hours and onsite presence to promote a healthy work-life balance.

We are on the lookout for a seasoned and proficient Lead Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS/Azure) to enhance our development team and serve as the DevOps authority within a compact group.

In this pivotal role, you will take charge of designing and sustaining our infrastructure, deploying automation frameworks, establishing effective CI/CD pipelines, and fine-tuning performance and security protocols. Your expertise will be vital in streamlining our game development processes, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

This position also presents a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled mid-level DevOps Engineer ready to advance their career, particularly if you have experience in training or leading small teams in the DevOps domain.

  • Improving visibility of cloud resources and health metrics
  • Strengthening control and management of production infrastructure

Core Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently deploy, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure in a LiveOps setting.
  • Design and implement cloud architecture based on project requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, and integrate cloud testing and automation tools.
  • Identify and implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard our systems.
  • Manage incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with our development and build teams to ensure a seamless workflow.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient with version control systems such as Perforce and Git.
  • Knowledgeable in creating and maintaining logging, monitoring, and incident response technologies.
  • Experienced with Infrastructure as Code technologies (AWS/Azure).
  • Skilled in containerizing applications and managing containerized environments (ECS, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Familiar with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitLabCI, CircleCI, etc.
  • Experience with Pulumi is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PlayFab is advantageous.

Employee Benefits:

We provide a comprehensive benefits package for our team, including:

  • 22 days of annual leave plus a Christmas closure (typically 4 days) and bank holidays (increasing with service at 5 years – one additional day each year until reaching 31 days).
  • Private Medical Insurance and a healthcare cash plan, covering dental and vision.
  • Life Assurance, Income Protection, and Critical Illness Cover.
  • Enhanced Family Leave policies.
  • Interest-Free, Tax-Free loans.
  • Enhanced Pension Scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Program offering Mental Health and Wellbeing Support.
  • Plus numerous additional perks, including discounts, freebies, and social events.
