The primary role of this team involves the commissioning of external placements, collaborating with the internal fostering unit, and providing support to the Placement and Procurement Officers during their duty shifts.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to information or situations that pose risks to vulnerable children.
  • Assist in identifying appropriate placements for children in care.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal provisions and independent providers to ensure a suitable placement match.
  • Collect and disseminate information related to the placement of children to optimize resource utilization and aid in the development of tools and systems for tracking placement sourcing.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to assess carer availability and suitability.
  • Engage with other Trust placement teams to gather local insights when sourcing placements beyond the immediate area, identifying potential risks or vulnerabilities.

Take ownership of the quality of your work and commit to enhancing your knowledge and skills.


Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification.
  • Experience in children's placements within a social care environment.

This position requires a standard DBS check, as the successful candidate will handle sensitive information regarding young individuals.
