Southampton, Southampton, United Kingdom Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

Are you a forward-thinking and resourceful clinical psychologist who excels in a dynamic setting centered on growth and transformation? We invite you to consider joining our team.

In this role, you will conduct specialized psychological evaluations and develop treatment plans, provide brief therapeutic interventions, and play a vital role in the application of the Comprehend, Cope and Connect (CCC) framework as we integrate this approach into our services. CCC is a psychology-driven strategy that empowers multi-disciplinary colleagues to support individuals in distress, emphasizing collaborative care planning. Team-based psychological formulations are essential to this position, and we prioritize fostering a psychologically-informed environment within our units.

Key Responsibilities

Our work spans various psychological conditions, including psychosis, trauma, and interpersonal challenges. The successful candidate will be part of a unified team dedicated to quality enhancement and service innovation, and we seek someone who shares our passion and commitment. While the role may present challenges, it is equally rewarding, and our team values transparency, compassion, and humor to cultivate a supportive atmosphere within the service.

We are integrated within the broader Southern Health Acute and Crisis Pathway, which includes practitioner psychologists and psychological therapists skilled in diverse methodologies, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices.

The position is classified at Band 8a; however, we welcome applications at Band 7 for those who may benefit from a Band 7 to 8a mentorship opportunity.
