About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, providing systemic psychology services to young people in a secure children's home.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment and therapy to young people within the service, utilizing evidence-based interventions to promote positive outcomes.
  • Offer expert advice and consultation to multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and non-professional carers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of psychological interventions and risk.
  • Work autonomously, adhering to professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctoral-level training in applied psychology, with a strong focus on systemic approaches.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment of patients in clinical mental health settings, with a particular emphasis on working with complex psychological needs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with service users, families, and carers, promoting a collaborative and trauma-informed approach.
