Key Responsibilities- Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards and risks across the organization.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and suppliers, to promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical advice and support to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor and improve the implementation of risk assessments, work instructions, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Incident Management: Investigate and manage incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions, to minimize the risk of future occurrences.
- Compliance: Assist in maintaining ISO and FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) accreditation and support internal and external audits.
- Experience: Recent and demonstrable experience as a Health and Safety Specialist or equivalent role.
- Qualifications: Relevant professional qualification, such as a Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety (essential), and a Level 6 Health and Safety qualification and a second related discipline (preferred).
- Skills: Excellent communication, proactive support, and ability to act as a role model.
- Expertise: Subject matter expert with specialist advice and support capabilities.
- Professional Membership: Membership of an appropriate professional body, such as Chartered membership (desirable).
- Compensation: Competitive base salary with an annual bonus.
- Holidays: 26 days holiday, increasing up to 29 days with length of service.
