Key Responsibilities:
  • Outline the project scope to be delivered within the contract or work package, including the interfaces with other programme elements.
  • Assist in acquiring the necessary resources to fulfill project requirements, ensuring that all assigned personnel maintain their qualifications and promptly addressing any resource shortfalls or challenges within the project team.
  • Formulate and execute strategies and plans aligned with the overall Programme Execution Plan (PEP), detailing the management, organization, and execution of the work programme.
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders while implementing project or PEP strategies within the designated contract or work package.
  • Drive the execution of contract or package activities to guarantee they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with business and technical specifications.
  • Monitor and oversee programme progress, tracking milestones, deadlines, and budget adherence, while providing key stakeholders with relevant reports.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and resolve issues within the contract or package, recognizing risks and facilitating the resolution of all raised concerns, while developing and updating the programme budget and escalating significant issues to the Senior Project Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A degree and chartered status in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • A professional qualification in Project Management, such as APM PPQ or another recognized credential.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of Project Management principles, consistent with the APM Role Profile for Project Manager Competency Framework.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EPR design.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations.
  • Proficient in the application of estimating, scheduling, programming, risk management, and Earned Value Management tools.
  • Comprehension of nuclear quality requirements and the assurance and control of nuclear quality.
