Development Underwriter

We are partnering with a world-leading insurance company to find a talented Development Underwriter for its highly successful Financial Lines team.
This company is renowned for providing innovative insurance solutions and uses its expertise to insure risks that others can't. The business is growing substantially year on year, and this new role has been created to help achieve the growth targets for its Financial Lines proposition.
As a Development Underwriter, you'll be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities within your region, underwriting Professional and Management risks (including Technology) within your defined underwriting authority. You'll have a strong desire to be highly visible to brokers, encouraging development meetings and telephone contact.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Underwriting individual risks
- Identifying and securing scheme opportunities
- Attending networking events
- Providing input to the Head of Financial Lines reporting on broker activity and new business production
It's essential that you have a successful track record of underwriting Professional Indemnity and Directors and Officers insurance.
