EMEA Design Manager Electrical

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our team at Iron Mountain. As a Design Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our data centre projects in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities- Define project scope and objectives, and develop project plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Oversee the work of external consultants, including M&E consultants, architects, and structural engineers, to ensure compliance with Iron Mountain's standards and requirements.
- Review and approve design documents, including Basis of Design, to ensure they meet Iron Mountain's needs and expectations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with design development, and ensure that design solutions are viable and meet Iron Mountain's brief and expectations.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement design management processes and protocols, and ensure that design work meets health and safety legislation and relevant building standards.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including Iron Mountain's clients, designers, contractors, and supply chain partners.
- Monitor and report on design progress, and ensure that design solutions are aligned with Iron Mountain's business objectives.
- Proven experience in design management, with a focus on electrical systems and data centre design.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including design principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with design development.
- Proficiency in design management software and tools, including Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Project.
